When your calendar has been running your life for months, the last thing you need is another vacation packed with standard sightseeing. This four-day California Central Coast road trip on Highway 1 is built around permission to slow down, something entrepreneurs rarely give themselves.

For a woman building a business, visibility isn't optional, it's the engine of the work. Your face is on the website, you announce where you're speaking, you tell people where you'll be. That same visibility is what exposes her. CERRET doesn't ask her to be smaller or harder to find. Two clicks on the button place an emergency call and send a text with her location to up to five chosen contacts, and that location continues sharing for 48 hours unless she cancels it.

I went expecting a pretty Greek island and got something more particular: a place with old money manners and no interest in performing for anyone. Spetses sits in the Saronic Gulf, a couple of hours by fast ferry from Athens or a quick boat ride off the Pellopanease Coast. Close enough to be easy.

The best working trip to Paris is not the one where you find a quiet corner at a café and apologize for your laptop. It is the one where the hotel itself does the work. Where the desk is actually designed for sitting at, the lighting flatters both your skin and your screen and your room is so intentional, you genuinely do not want to leave.
